The nice thing (among many such things) about having a blog is that it alleviates the temptation to randomly bother people with meaningless e-mails while in the grip of post-show insomnia. This is a phenomenon well-known to those who spend time as I do, performing live theatre, however modest, and then having to spend several hours winding down from the rush.
Pre-1997, I’d go out carousing until I was certain I wasn’t getting any companionship and then hit whatever horizontal surface presented itself, usually a very-much single bed.
Today, I’m a husband and father and thus have to make a point of not putting myself in situations where I ought not to be. Daydreaming aside, it’s nice that the places I ought to be are places I like being.
Husband/Father/Writer/Actor is a good gig. If I can just get one or two of them to pay life will be a dream.
UPDATE APRIL 2008: Still dreaming.
