I’m solo-parenting lately and don’t have the energy to make this interesting, but:
1. Go see “An Inconvenient Truth”, Al Gore’s extraordinary documentary on global warming and its effects on this place we all live. If afterwards you are not moved, floored, grateful, determined to do something positive, etc. just e-mail me your info and I’ll pay for your ticket. Honest.
2. “X-Men: The Last Stand” was entertaining enough to justify the ticket price (matinee), but honestly don’t they all kind of suck whenever Ian McKellan isn’t on screen and Halle Berry is? (I need to be making movies….)
3. Happy Memorial Day weekend. Please remember what it’s about and don’t ever, ever vote Republican again as long as you live. There are almost 3000 American soldiers who should still be alive and aren’t because a small margin of voters were unforgiveably stupid in 2000 and 2004.
If you were among them, please, don’t apologize.
Change.
And if you believe in God, get on your knees every day and ask Him (and the families of our soldiers) to forgive you, you stupid, stupid (bad word)s.
