I saw a preview screening tonight of A Certain Movie which officially blows every other super-hero flick into the dustbin of history.
Just awesome, beautiful, and right.
Now to be fair, a couple of people I respect said it was just a remake of the 1978 version. I can see that point of view. However when pressed (by my elbow on their windpipes) they had to admit it was a remake superior to the original.
And Brandon Routh is a worthy successor to the much-missed Christopher Reeve.
UPDATE APRIL 2008: Okay, my friends were right, but that plane rescue scene is still thrilling. I hope they make a sequel in which the whole movie’s as good as the plane rescue.
