I include the picture below only because it made me smile.
I actually think the Pluto “controversy” is a good example of the meaninglessness of language. Pluto is exactly what it is, unchanged regardless of how we choose to categorize it.
And Clyde Tombaugh’s achievement in finding it is unchanged as well. It was historic and amazing, a reminder of just how cool we can be when we’re not busy killing each other.
