I have further researched and modified my judicial picks, thanks in no small part to the concerted efforts of several Republican blogger-types below.

Basically, the Repubs are doing a much better job of researching and advocating their picks for the judicial branch.
As far as I can find the Dems have nothing comparable out there.
The links above contain up and down votes from the gay-hating, coat-hanger loving, whack-job Right.
From my POV if they love certain judges it’s enough to disqualify those judges.
If they hate others it’s enough to embrace them.
So the judges I know like a lot are:
For Supreme Court Justice
Joyce L. Kennard
Carol Corrigan
For Court of Appeal Justice
Robert M. Mallano
Frances Rothschild
Nora M. Manella
Richard M. Mosk
Arthur Gilbert (he of the nice blog)
Dennis M. Perluss
Laurie D. Zelon
Candace D. Cooper
Madeline Flier
And of course I’m still voting “NO” on Measures 85 and 90 for reasons listed earlier.
I wish I had the time and resources to thoroughly investigate the other judges on the ballot.
I truly wish to find common ground with moderate, principled people of the G.O.P.
But given my limited time and resources I have to play it safe against people who are endorsed by the worst elements in our political life today.
