According to the World Economic Forum the US has fallen from first place to seventh among nations driving technological innovation.
In an article on BBC News it says: “A deterioration of the political and regulatory environment in the US prompted the fall.”
For the curious but uninclined to follow links, the ranks now look like this:
1: Denmark (3)
2: Sweden (8)
3: Singapore (2)
4: Finland (5)
5: Switzerland (9)
6: Netherlands (12)
5: USA (1)
8: Iceland (4)
9: UK (10)
10: Norway (13)
Gee, I wonder what could have brought about a deterioration in our political and regulatory environment?

Come on, it was about priorities! That Freedom wasn’t gonna protect itself, y’know!
And we’re still ahead of those nerds over in Iceland…
