Saw “Stardust” today at the local googleplex. It was well-attended and seemed to have the crowd entertained. It’s different from the original illustrated story, but still recognizable, what with Neil Gaiman having co-penned the screenplay and all. I thought it was good for what it was: The latest entry in the post-Peter Jackson/Tolkein popcorn era. Sadly a few of the previews looked to be the less promising entries in those sweepstakes. I hate that little kids get chewed up in these debacles even if they do walk away rich. Will that poor kid who got blamed for “Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Who Wants All Your Money” ever really be whole?
On an unrelated topic, I am now down two MySpace Friends with the exits of Tommy Thompson and Jim Gilmore from the 2008 race. I blogged about it on The Notorious and for a change I didn’t swear so you can read it at work if you like.
I wonder which of the remaining sock puppets will now be hiring Karl Rove…
