Hillary’s Speech

Could have been cut by a third, but did what she needed to do.  Once again I’m impressed by someone who can play at that level while maintaining anything like proper composure.

I watched it holding my sleeping six week-old daughter and had an emotional wish for Hillary and Barack to go for the joint ticket, risk be damned.  Probably too risky, but what a sight it would be, what a powerhouse of brains and skill to have repairing the disaster of the last eight years.

Among the best lines was something about the glass ceiling having 18 million cracks in it today.

My daughter’s not even going to know what that means.  It’ll be history for her.  ”O brave new world…”

Here’s what I wrote back in January 07.
